Dementia is one of the main causes of disability later in life
With around 20 percent of people aged 65 and over living with dementia, Surrey has a significant demographic vulnerable to dementia.
Guildford does not currently have a community dementia day care service to provide advice to families and support to those living with moderate or more severe dementia.
Our Aims
Provide Support
Wayfinding connects those in need of support with a professional who can help navigate the challenges facing those living with Dementia.
Our Wayfinding service will allow everyone contacting us to talk to a professional for essential one-to-one support and advice.
Provide Daycare

We are aiming to create a Dementia Daycare Centre which complements the existing 'Hive' Community Centre and supports those in the Guildford area living with moderate or more severe Dementia.
Blueprints of commercially successful, established centres, The Hunter Centre in Haslemere and Sage House in Tangmere (near Chichester), are available to help model and create a service suited for the Guildford community.

We have a small team of Trustees who are committed to setting up and managing the Charity. Together they bring a broad variety of professional experience to The Guildford Dementia Hub.
Local Ambassadors
Our local Ambassadors have been directly affected by Dementia, either through family members or in their roles within the local Community.
Funding and Donations
The Guildford Dementia Hub is relying on donations to support our work in the local community.
Our fundraising account is held by The Hunter Centre pending the creation of the Guildford Dementia Hub Charity.
